What is the minimum eDeposit amount?
RM1, however you can't buy any shares for RM1. Suggest to do minimum eDeposit RM1,000
I just completed eDeposit, why is my trading limit not updated instantly?
eDeposit before 5pm trading will limit be updated next business day @ 8.30am. eDeposit after 5pm trading limit will be updated following business day @ 8.30am.
How to not get charged RM0.50 for using M2U edeposit function?
There is RM0.50 charge for eDeposit via M2U yellow button. Select FPX - M2U to avoid RM0.50 fee.
I don't have USD cash, can I buy US shares?
Yes, select MYR as settlement currency before purchase where exchange rate will be displayed before submitting buy order.
I am foreigner, can I open a Global Share Trading account here in Malaysia?
Yes, permitted visa(s) such as employment , MM2H, long term spouse needs to be submitted during account application.
Counter ABC dividend Ex- Date is today, will i be entitled to received dividend if I buy today?
No, you have to buy shares 1 day before Ex-Date only entitled, you can sell on EX- Date and will be entitled to receive dividend.
Counter ABC bonus issue Ex-Date is today, why my portfolio quantity still unchanged?
Today Ex-Date for bonus doesn't mean bonus shares credited into portfolio on the same day. Check the announcement from BURSA on when will receive bonus shares.
Is there a cash withdrawal from trust button in the iTrade App?
No, please contact your remisier Preston Ng for withdrawal or fill up and submit withdrawal FORM A (see forms page) and send to customerservice.my@cgs-cimb.com
Why my shares suddenly sold by itself?
It is because full payment for shares purchased not made by Trading Day + 2 days and your remisier unable to contact you to complete payment by T + 3 11am.
Will I be charged if I ask my remisier too many questions?
No, for direct account you only have to pay charges when there is filled trade. No Custodian charges, corporate action and no minimum balance charges.
How come i get charged for corporate actions such as receiving dividends and bonus issue?
It is because you have a nominees account. Suggest to open a direct CDS account to avoid charges on corporate actions.
How come every time I apply for IPO I never get allotted any shares?
This is because the IPO was over subscribed and the only way to increase your chances of getting allotted shares is to subscribe for more quantities.
